During your stay in France you could use several different type of trains according to your needs or wishes. Our extensive train network and diversity allows you to either cross over Franceat 320km/h with TGV linking the biggest cities or go from smaller towns and villages with TEOZ, enjoy our overnight services or LUNEA or alternatively enjoy the scenery or one of our scenic trains.
THE FAMOUS TGV (High Speed Train)
Since it was launched in 1981 TGV is the fastest High Speed Train in Europe. TGV carries over 100 Million travellers a year.
Commercial Speed
from 270 to 320 km/h depending on route and type of TGV.
Main Destinations
Over 200 destinations available in France such as: Lyon / Bordeaux/ Marseille/ Lille / Strasbourg/Rennes/ Avignon / Aix en Provence/Nantes/Reims.
Train Types
Christian Lacroix has designed the East European TGV on the Paris /Strasbourg and Germany route.
TGV “ duplex” is a double decker high Speed train with 1 buffet bar coach , 3 First Class coaches and 4 Second class coaches
TGV “classic” with 1 buffet bar coach , 3 First Class coaches and 4 Second Class coaches
TGV “Atlantique”, same as above plus 2 extras coaches.

Each TGV train offers the following services:
-Buffet bar with a selection of hot and cold drinks, sandwiches & snacks as well as newspapers.
- Spacious luggage racks
- Baby changing facilties in the double decker TGV in certain trains
- Bicycle storage space for 2nd class passenger only

1st class
Very confortable reclining seats fitted with plugs for mobile phone and laptop computers
Quiet coaches located in coaches 2 & 12, where all mobile phone have to be switched off.
2nd class
Family area available with 4 seats facing.
Using TGV with your France Rail Pass
In addition to the France Rail Pass, a compulsory reservation is required We suggest that you book as much in advance a possible to make sure you get the best seats and flexible conditions. You can either book through your travel agent whom you bought your pass from or alternatively book from any SNCF ticket office or SNCF point of sale.
Exchange & Refunds Exchanges are permitted and unlimited before departure, and not allowed after departure. This ticket type is refundable 100% before departure, but not refundable after.
THE TER (REGIONAL TRAIN)
With an exceptional rail network of over than 30, 000 km , TER is the link between bigger cities and smaller towns. There is a huge variety in terms of trains running on this network. Did you know that 5,600 TERs carry more than 700,000 travellers a day ?

TEOZ
The Teoz trains cover all the French destinations, that are not already covered by TGVs. Teoz trains are the refurbished version, of the Corail trains. They have been redisigned to offer more comfort and a more up to date look.

On Board Services
Your trip in Teoz will be very enjoyable and relaxing, with a nice colour scheme, leather seats and wood in First class. A children play area is also available for the little ones, allowing everybody to have fun while travelling.
-Trolley service unit: a mobile catering will offer you and serve a selection of snacks, sandwiches, salads, hot and cold drinks, sweets, directly to your seat.

Classes of Service
1st class:
Large seats with different seat configuration (single seat or for 2 ,4 or 6 people in compartment)
Individuals plugs for mobile phone and laptops computers.
Space available in 2nd class : 2 compartments (4 seats each) that can accept up to 4 disabled passengers + 4 guides.
2nd class :
Velvet seats for all seats, and Family areas also available (3 compartments of 6 seats each located next to the children play area). Disabled passengers can be accomodated in dedicated areas (2 compartments of 4 seats each
