Intercités trains offer a good standards of comfort both in 1st and 2nd class.

Restrooms/ staff/ spacious luggage storage/ plugs in certain trains in 1st and 2nd (Paris Caen – Cherbourg).

Trolley service on (Paris – Caen – Cherbourg/ Trouville) and (Paris Rouen – Le Havre and as of 1/7/08 Bordeaux – Nantes).

Bicyles allowed on board free of charge in dedicated coaches, only in certain trains.

Using Intercités with your France Rail Pass :

No additional reservation is required to travel on INTERCITES train but you have the possibility to do it.

Exchange & Refunds :

Exchanges are permitted and unlimited before departure, and not allowed after departure. This ticket type is refundable 720 before departure, but not refundable after.
